{"id":539,"date":"2022-11-09T14:22:39","date_gmt":"2022-11-09T14:22:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.srilankaabroad.com\/scholarships\/?p=539"},"modified":"2022-11-10T18:39:27","modified_gmt":"2022-11-10T18:39:27","slug":"imperial-college-uk-presidents-fully-funded-scholarships-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.srilankaabroad.com\/scholarships\/scholarships-for-study-in-the-uk\/imperial-college-uk-presidents-fully-funded-scholarships-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Imperial College, UK &#8211; President\u2019s Fully Funded Scholarships, 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We are pleased to inform you that the Imperial College London is offering scholarship opportunities to high performing students who are interested in pursuing a degree program at the Institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The President\u2019s Scholarships aims to provide up to 50 research students with great potential the opportunity to work within their chosen research field with the support of an excellent supervisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Applicants who apply by 23:59 (UK time)&nbsp;<strong>4&nbsp;November 2022<\/strong>&nbsp;and are awarded a scholarship will be notified by&nbsp;<strong>23&nbsp;January 2023.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><li>Applicants who apply&nbsp;by 23:59 (UK time)&nbsp;<strong>6&nbsp;January 2023<\/strong>&nbsp;and are awarded a scholarship will be notified by&nbsp;<strong>20&nbsp;March 2023.<\/strong><\/li><li>Applicants who apply&nbsp;by 23:59 (UK time)&nbsp;<strong>3&nbsp;March 2023<\/strong>&nbsp;and are awarded a scholarship will be notified by&nbsp;<strong>22&nbsp;May 2023.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligible Countries:&nbsp;<\/strong>International<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To Be Taken At:&nbsp;<\/strong>United Kingdom<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Type:&nbsp;<\/strong>Doctorate<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Number Of Awardees:&nbsp;<\/strong>50<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Value Of Scholarships:&nbsp;<\/strong>Successful candidates will receive the following financial support for up to 3.5 years<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Full funding for tuition fees<\/li><li>A stipend of \u00a322,900 (2023-24 rate) per annum to assist with living costs<\/li><li>A consumables fund of \u00a32,000 per annum for the first 3 years of study<\/li><li>A&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imperial.ac.uk\/students\/academic-support\/graduate-school\/phd-scholars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">programme of bespoke opportunities&nbsp;and events<\/a>&nbsp;delivered by the Graduate School<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility:&nbsp;<\/strong>To be eligible for this scholarship program, applicants must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>be among the highest achievers in their undergraduate cohort, and in receipt of, or due to receive a first class UK degree or equivalent.<\/li><li>have achieved a distinction or, where this has yet to have been achieved, be able to provide evidence of high performance that will lead to a distinction.<\/li><li>have made contact with a supervisor in an academic department at Imperial College London who has agreed to supervise their research project.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Apply:&nbsp;<\/strong>There is not a specific scholarship application form.&nbsp; You should submit your application for admission to study at Imperial through our&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imperial.ac.uk\/study\/pg\/apply\/how-to-apply\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online admissions system<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;and your department will put you forward for the scholarship based on academic merit and potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>When prompted for a&nbsp;<strong>personal statement<\/strong>&nbsp;you must ensure that it consists of approx. 1000 words (maximum 2 pages) and outlines your academic and research achievements to date, explaining in brief your planned research project. The selection panel will not consider statements exceeding the 2-page limit.
